Greenough Lane
“While you are looking, you might as well also listen, linger, and think about what you see.” – Jane Jacobs
Once a long alleyway connecting Charter Street with Commercial Street, Greenough Lane was transformed into a small pocket park steps from bustling Hanover Street. The cobblestone park is a favorite spot for residents of the neighborhood to escape from city life and enjoy some peace and tranquility.
Although a public area, City Suites works alongside the city to maintain the park. Every fall, City Suites plants thousands of tulips in conjunction with fourth grade students from the neighboring Eliot School. When the flowers come into bloom, they are a welcome and spectacular sight after the gray winter months.
City Suites owns and manages many of the properties that border Greenough Lane. The park facing one, two, and three bedroom apartments have private balconies and decks that are perfect for taking in this urban oasis of nature and tranquility.
